| Abstract: | Error correction coding is actively used in computing systems and assumes at least the detection of errors in the transmitted data and at most the correction of these errors. For this, error correcting codes are used. One of their types is modular redundant codes based on the use of a non-positional residue number system. These codes show good results when used in digital signal processing, cloud storage, data storage systems. The correcting abilities of codes in the residue number system are manifested when additional control bases are introduced into their composition, as a result of which the overall range of data representation increases, which makes it possible to detect information distortion. The article provides a comparative analysis of error detection and correction devices used in modular redundant codes. Two methods of error correction in the redundant system of residual classes are considered: the method of projections and the error interval method. Two types of error correction devices are proposed for each of these methods. A comparative analysis of these devices in terms of hardware and time costs is carried out. |
