dc.description.abstractThe accuracy of the steady-state analysis of a power system network at constant conductor temperature with modern software such as Mathcad, RastrWin3, and MatLab (MatPower and Optimization Toolboxes) is analyzed. The topology of the network and the parameters (impedances and admittances) of its lines, consumption and generation at nodes (buses) of the power system are considered known. The exact solutions for the complex node voltages in an IEEE 5-bus test network are found at which the active power is balanced with an accuracy of 10–307, either in the absence or in the presence of a PV-type node. The errors in the magnitudes (moduli) and phase angles (arguments) of the node voltage vectors calculated with the highest possible accuracy using modern software systems for different operating modes of the power system are analyzed. The results obtained are useful for further development of methods and algorithms for steady-state analysis of a power system and selection of a tool for simulation of its unsteady states. System operators need to perform such analyzes to solve many applied problems.ru
