Abstract: Satellite communication systems found wide application in the modern world. Despite their advantages, such systems are subjects to various threats because of their nature. Some of them can be eliminated with the implementation of authentication protocol within satellite communication system. Such protocol should have high imitation resistance and noise immunity. Zero-knowledge authentication protocol can be considered the most suitable for this case. However, protocols of this type do not have any internal mechanisms to ensure high noise immunity. Moreover, they also do not have high imitation resistance due to either iterative process or operations over large operands. These drawbacks can be eliminated via integration of zero-knowledge authentication protocol and polynomial residue number system error-correction codes.
