Abstract: The research of virtual reality technologies based on the cybernetic approach made it possible to establish that virtual reality in the educational process can be implemented at various technological levels, which can be distributed according to the degree of immersion in the simulated environment. At the first level, personal computers and basic input/output devices are used. On the second-personal computers with high performance, virtual reality glasses and some other input/output devices. At the third technological level, the most productive computers, reality glasses, classrooms and tactile devices are used. When analyzing the technological levels of virtual reality, the recommended hardware and software for use in the educational process was established.
