Abstract: The paper studies current-voltage curves and electroconvective flows for such ferrofluids as magnetite in kerosene in cells with electrodes made of various metals. It is shown that at identical voltage and electrode geometry, the intensity of current and electrohydrodynamic flow in cells with titanium electrodes, is significantly lower in cells than with aluminum or brass electrodes. It is shown that near-electrode electrochemical processes significantly affect electrophysical processes in ferrofluids based on liquid dielectrics.
