Implementation of legal policy in the field of ensuring environmental safety of the Arctic subregion of the Komi Republic in the extraction of fuel and energy resources: Problems and prospects

Abstract

In this paper the Arctic subregion of the Komi Republic is presented as a territory with huge reserves of fuel and energy resources, where the tasks of socioeconomic development are implemented, which imply the intensification of nature management, the use of modern exploration technologies in the field of mineral extraction, its transportation, and an increase in processing capacity. The conceptual strategies of the Russian Federation in the field of development and exploration of Arctic territories are considered. Quantitative indicators of emergency situations arising during the exploitation of mineral deposits in the subarctic territory of Komi are given. The factors determining the level of resistance of nature to anthropogenic and technogenic impact are designated. The fundamental trends that have developed in law enforcement practice in the field of eliminating the consequences of detrimental technogenic and anthropogenic impact on the part of operating organizations are determined. Proposals aimed at increasing the sustainability of the natural environment and preserving the eco-balance of the Arctic subregion of Komi are designated.
