dc.description.abstractAn effective synthesis of new functionalized ([2,2':6',2''-terpyridin]-4'-yl)naphthalenes involves demethylation in NaphthOMe group followed by formylation with PhN=CHOEt reagent. The obtained compounds containing aromatic hydroxy and formyl groups can be of interest as ligands for transition metals or as building blocks for the synthesis of polytopic ligands.ru
