dc.description.abstractIn 6-10 kV distribution networks, there is an unresolved issue of identifying single-phase faults on outgoing feeder connections of the switchgear and determining the distance to their location. In line with the trend, outlined by industry standards, towards equipping both modernized and newly constructed electric power facilities with digital substation technologies supporting the IEC 61850 protocol [1] , a direction is emerging for using the Sampled Values (SV) message streams of the IEC 61850-9-2 standard in relay protection tasks for distribution networks [2].ru
