| Abstract: | Oxidation of 3-aryl–2-cyanothioacrylamides in the trimethylchlorosilane-DMSO system leads to the formation of functionalized 1,2,4-thiadiazoles in 58–71% yields. Oxidation of 2-thioxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carbonitriles under the same conditions gives the corresponding bis(pyrid-2-yl)disulfides. An in silico predictive analysis was performed to identify bioavailability parameters and potential protein targets for the obtained compounds. Some of the synthesized compounds exhibited a moderate antidote effect against 2,4-D herbicide under laboratory conditions on sunflower seedlings. 2,2′-Disulfanediylbis(4,6-dimethylnicotinonitrile) showed a pronounced antibacterial effect against S. aureus. |
