Abstract: The paper presents results of the analysis and synthesis of nonlinear regression models which describe experimental studies on the capacitance of a cell with a magnetic nanofluid microlayer (MNF), when varying the input parameters (factors): the polarizing voltage (0–20 V), the dispersed phase volume concentration (2.3–14.4%), the interelectrode distance (100–200 µm), the layer temperature (293–368 K). The article discusses three-dimensional microlayer capacitance curves depending on the input parameters. To get a mathematical model lrelating the cell capacitance to the MNF and its parameters (factors), the authors used IBM SPSS Statistics (software for statistical analysis). The developed regression models consider the main factors and the effects of their interaction. The paper presents an analysis of the obtained models and estimates errors (approximation errors). When evaluating errors, the authors considered the minimum, maximum and average errors. Based on these data, conclusions on the model appropriateness were made
