The article attempts to identify the problematic issues of resettlement of the future based on the perceptions of farmers about life under socialism. These data allow us to understand and explain the complex and contradictory path of harmony and understanding between the Soviet government and rural people. The article also states that all participants in the modernization of agriculture could not overcome the influence of old traditions neither in economic activity nor in relations within rural society. All this reflects not only the failures and mistakes of government but also the peculiarities of the structure and content of social consciousness of the peasantsru
