Abstract

The article highlights the topic of interethnic relations that is relevant for modem Russia, which is well traced in the North Caucasus. The main factors and features of the formation of intercultural relations in the North Caucasus are considered, special attention is paid to such an important problem as the specifics of the administrative-territorial division of the North Caucasus and its influence on interethnic relations in the region. It also highlights the risks of intercultural relations caused by the intensification of religious extremists in the national republics of the North Caucasus
