Abstract

The publication argues the point of view that the information confrontation between the West and Russia in modern conditions pursues the solution of geopolitical problems. Defending the liberal-idealistic model of the world order, the West is actively using modern communication technologies to enhance the moral and psychological impact on the basis of the worldview principles of Russian society - the people’s memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Thus, he is trying to introduce a new model of history based on Western democratic values into the mass consciousness of Russians
