Abstract: The results of the influence of operation stability and hardening of tools on process efficiency, operation cost and tool costs are presented in the article. Recommendations for optimizing of cutting parameters during roughing with carbide tools which were processed by volumetric pulsed laser hardening are given. Evaluation of the physical and mechanical properties of the tool material improvement due to the impact of the hardening method is shown in the article
