Abstract: | Currently, the main factor and a necessary condition for the stable position of the enterprise is the assessment of its economic potential. The paper analyzes the etymology of the definition of the “economic potential of the enterprise.” It was found that, despite the constant attention of economists to the problem, there is no consensus on the definition of “economic potential” and the methodology for calculating it. The authors proposed a phased methodological toolkit and a system of indicators, the use of which allows determining the level of the economic potential of an economic entity. On the example of a specific industrial enterprise, a detailed calculation and assessment of its economic potential are made. It is confirmed that an industrial complex enterprise may have high economic potential, but not use it effectively enough in practice |
