Abstract: This article, reflecting the results of the authors’ research, examines the features of modern socio-political processes in the Middle East and regional security. The main goal of the article is to identify the parameters of Middle East security in the context of economic and socio-political transformations in the region. Design/Methodology/Approach: The main methods used in the research are the theory of regional security complexes and the concept of the growing importance of regional security systems, along with situational analysis of the regional political process, methods of inductive generalization, comparative, factor and geopolitical analysis. Findings: Analyzing the prospects for the emergence of new nuclear-weapon States in the region, the authors come to the conclusion about the reality of total nuclearization of the region and identifies three possible scenarios for the dynamics of military and political processes in the region. Taking into account Russia’s leading position in the nuclear industry, the article emphasizes its role as a guarantor of the peaceful use of the atom and control of the spread of nuclear technologies in the Middle East region. Originality/Value: Analysis of the current balance of power in the international arena allowed us to determine the main characteristics of the global system that affect regional political development. The existing parameters of the system of international relations were correlated with the situation in the Middle East region, and key regional and non-regional actors affecting the state of middle East security were identified. The article highlights Russia’s leading role in ensuring security in the Middle East and stabilizing the region’s economic and socio-political processes
