Abstract: The article argues the point of view that the study of everyday life, despite the accumulated experience of Russian historiography, does not lose its relevance. At the same time, the special specificity of post-war history is noted, as an example of overcoming difficult life situations, the opportunity through the prism of everyday life of the population of the local community to concretize and fill with meaning individual episodes of history. Using the example of the Stavropol Territory, the article reveals the main directions of organizing the daily life of the urban and rural population, compares the established system of life support for townspeople and rural residents, supplying them with food and industrial goods of prime necessity. The author focuses particular attention on the assistance of the state and society to the families of front-line soldiers, disabled people and some other privileged categories of citizens. As a result, he concludes that the difficult conditions of post-war everyday life consolidated society and led to the formation of a special population structure in the Stavropol Territory
