Abstract: This article is devoted to the study of the specific features of the interaction of the Muslim religion and the cultural aspect of public life in the Arab Caliphate. The authors analyze the characteristic features of attitudes towards culture in Islam and consider the development of science and art in the medieval Arab state. The article comprehends the degree of influence of Islam on the achievement of outstanding results in the scientific and cultural components of the Arab civilization in the Middle Ages.
