Features of artificial intelligence technologies and their use and impact on transformation in the banking sector

Abstract

This chapter considers and actualizes the problems of application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the banking sector, analyzes the legal and regulatory acts of the Russian Federation, which determine the importance and strategy of development of the use of AI in the economy and in the banking segment. The aim of the study was to determine the current state and prospects of AI in the Russian banking system. In the course of scientific research, the authors worked on the following tasks: analysis of the current state of information technology in the Russian banking sector, the study of legislation in the field of credit and financial institutions AI, evaluation of the prospects of digital and branchless banking, as well as the problem of information security and protection of banking secrecy in the new environment. The authors came to the conclusion that the banking sector is advanced in terms of information technology and robotics. However, it should be taken into account that the use of AI technologies in banking creates new threats and challenges that require the introduction of new approaches to information security, protection of banking secrecy, and timely adaptation to changing conditions.
