Abstract: The chemical industry is the basic segment of the Russian industry. It is of great importance for the innovative development of the country and its regions. In current global markets, innovative chemical enterprises increasingly face the problems of adapting to the situation, which makes the identification, assessment, and management of risks especially relevant. The paper aims to develop theoretical and methodological provisions and practical solutions to improve the risk management system of innovation-oriented chemical enterprises. The methodological basis of the research includes general scientific and specific cognitive methods. The research problems were solved using economic and statistical methods, such as comparison, grouping, systemic analysis, systematicity, integrity, logical modeling, etc. The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that the results can be used to develop risk management programs for innovation-oriented organizations, including the chemical industry organizations.
