| Abstract: | The article, based on the analysis of published sources, provides information directly related to the career of officer P. M. Meyer (until 1854). The purpose for which the post of chief of staff of the Caucasian Linear Cossack Army was established and for what period of time P. M. Meyer occupied it is investigated. The authors consider in detail his official duties and special assignments, which were entrusted to him by the high command, some facts of his biography are considered. |
