| Abstract: | On the example of criminal legislation of Russia, types of information that are recognized as criminal are considered. Design/methodology/approach: One way to protect against malicious information is to create a balanced legal regulation that on the one hand does not restrict the legal right to information of citizens, and on the other hand, protects people from information attacks that threaten people and society as a whole. Findings: It is noted that in connection with the process of digitalization of information, in this area it is possible to ensure security only at the international level. Taking into account the analysis of generally accepted rules of international criminal law, basic criteria are proposed according to which information on its content can be recognized as dangerous to the world legal order. Originality/value: In accordance with the conclusions formulated in the article, dangerous information for humanity should include those that contain the justification of genocide, apartheid, terrorism, calls for an aggressive war and pornography of minors. |
