Abstract: To improve state policy in the field of digitalization of the agricultural sector. Design/methodology/approach: This document, being an act regulating agriculture, pays special attention, albeit in a rather truncated form, to high technologies in the agricultural sphere. Findings: Critical issue may be the lag of small agricultural producers from large ones due to lower financial, technological and personnel potential. Also, a possible weakness in the process of information transformation may be the difference in infrastructure. Originality/value: Research concludes that digitalization of agriculture was formed in the activities of the state not only as an idea, but also as a neglected process, which, however, should be approached consistently. Therefore, public policy on agriculture should take into account the interests of a wide range of persons, as well as taking into account the differences in their financial, technical and human capacities. The results obtained can be used in further theoretical development of the issue, as well as in the implementation of norm-setting practices.
