Abstract: The paper considers the conditions under which an analytical calculation of the complex resistances of a four-wire 0.4 kV distribution network lines by means of an automated electricity metering system is possible. Calculated expressions based on measurement data of active and reactive powers and effective voltage values at subscribers and at the beginning of the monitored section of the network are presented. These expressions use the condition of equality of the resistances of the phase and neutral wires for each inter-subscriber network section. The reliability of the proposed expressions of the analytical calculation is confirmed by computational experiments carried out for the simulated network. The results obtained can be useful in organizing of the functions of diagnostics of the main line technical conditions and electricity losses monitoring in the distribution network with an automated accounting system.
