dc.description.abstractWe present the luminescence radiative lifetime data of Yb3+ in Yb-doped yttrium scandium aluminum garnet (Yb:YSAG) ceramics at room temperature (300 K). The results show that the Yb3+ lifetime changes significantly with content of Sc3+ ion in Yb:YSAG and depends on the crystallography position occupied by Sc3+. The ceramics with the highest Sc3+ content in octahedral position has longer luminescence radiative lifetimes.ru
