Abstract: The term "plagiarism" is most often replaced with a more correct reference to "incorrect borrowing", but this does not solve the existing problem of mass plagiarism in scientific research. Materials and methods. The authors provide an analysis of the methodology based on changing, subject to modification programs for detecting borrowings, self-citation in a comparative analysis of advantages and disadvantages. A complex combination and comparative analysis of these programs will allow comparing data on reports, conducting a study using special computer methods (Sevostyanova I.O.) and obtaining the most reliable results [10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15]. Conclusion. The choice of software, its complex application on the websites of scientific publications allows not only to warn about the appearance of unscrupulous borrowings, but also to reliably protect your content. New forms of peer review strengthen the anti-plagiarism check on special servers.
