Abstract: The need to improve the automatic control system (ACS) for the aeration mode in bioreactors of biotechnological industries constitutes an important problem, since modern biotechnologies underlie the production of food, chemical-pharmaceutical, agricultural and other industries based on microbiological synthesis. The existing ACSs are not efficient enough with increasing requirements for the implementation of optimal modes of non-stationary biotechnology processes in conditions of incomplete information about disturbances and models of these processes. The relevance of the task of researching and developing a multi-mode ACS consists in insufficient experience in developing control systems for the optional aeration mode and the existence of a gap between the prospects for the development of industrial biotechnology and methods for their implementation using efficient automatic control systems for supplying air for aeration using information on the concentration of oxygen dissolved in the environment. The basis of the study is determined by the use of intelligent methods for the development of effective systems of automatic controlling the processes that relate to complex objects operating under conditions of uncertainty (incompleteness) of information about the patterns of their running and existing disturbances. The novelty of the work lies in the use of modern intelligent control methods based on fuzzy technology to control the aeration mode of the process. The studied ACS is implemented on the basis of a combination of a non-linear controller with approximating control (CAC) and a fuzzy corrector that corrects its parameters. The obtained results confirm that with fuzzy parametric correction of CAC, significant fluctuations in the concentration of oxygen dissolved in the fermentation medium are eliminated and an optimal aeration mode is provided during the process.
