dc.description.abstractThe article deals with the issues of remote measurement of the complex permittivity of planar layered dielectrics of natural origin using the method of radar sensing in conditions of total (pseudo total) refraction of the probing signal at the “air-surface” boundary. The authors propose to estimate the complex dielectric permittivity under oblique irradiation of the studied surface by a radar signal with horizontal and vertical polarization followed by registration of amplitudes and phase shifts of interference wave oscillations. The specifics of solving the electrodynamic problem based on Fresnel formulas at the beginning of the far zone of the emitter in order to obtain the required depth of penetration of the probing signal into the investigated planar-layered media of natural origin are considered.ru
