Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of calculating of the wires complex resistances of a four-wire low-voltage (0.4 kV) distribution network according to the data of an automated energy consumption metering system, provided that single-phase subscribers are connected to different sections of the neutral wire and the resistances of the phase and neutral wires are equal. An algorithm (method) for solving this problem is proposed and calculation expressions using data on voltages, active and reactive powers at subscribers and in the power node, which correspond to the same time periods of two different network operation modes are obtained. The proposed calculation equations are verified with computational experiments on the mathematical model of the distribution network. The results obtained can be useful in the implementation of the functions of the network electrical losses monitoring and diagnosing of the technical condition of the phase and neutral wires of the main line sections in automated metering systems.
