The global navigation satellite system (GNSS) is extensively applied for UAV positioning and is the best-selling navigation technology because of its simplicity and cheapness, and global coordinates are transmitted sensibly. However, there are many drawbacks from the security point to the navigation architecture and navigation communications. This situation is because of technological vulnerabilities connected with the open essence of the navigation signal since the signal could be faked or blocked by the intruder. This study researches the relative methods for protecting navigation and communication systems, the testbed and script for attacks realization on the GPS protocol. Next, a set of data was collected from the UAV log files. After that, the cyber-physical parameter analysis was conducted to fix the attack’s impact on the positioning system. A new method for detecting abnormal behavior in UAVs was proposed. This method allowed evaluation of changes in the inboard cyber-physical parameters of UAV. This auto-diagnostic technology allows detection of the occurrence of variance in its segments and recognizes attributes of a cyber-attack. Carrying out real attacks on UAVs made it possible to analyze the nature of changes in UAV behavior under the influence of an attack, as well as changes in its cyber-physical parameters.ru
