Socio-cultural development of the Russian region: a socio-analytical dimension

Abstract

This article attempts to generalize, interpret and verify the problems of socio-cultural development of the Russian region as a socio-territorial and socio-cultural community. Within the framework of the chosen theoretical and methodological construct, the authors analyze integral indicators of the socio-cultural life and the socio-cultural dynamics of the region as the relationship between socio-cultural strata, the socio-cultural effectiveness of regional management, the correlation between traditionality and innovation in regional development, socio-cultural disparities and the socio-cultural balance of regional development. Based on the conceptual provisions and empirical verification of the parameters of socio-cultural development of the Stavropol territory, the authors conclude that the Russian regions have entered a period of socio-cultural bifurcation, and it actualizes the urgency of fundamental research in this direction and the development of tools for diagnostic of socio-cultural processes taking place at the regional level
