Abstract: The formalized approach to the construction of the mathematical model of the discrete communication channel is considered. It allows one to establish the dependence of the correctness of the message transmission in the channel on the value of parameters of the communication equipment and of the signal transmission medium, which is changed under the influence of external destabilizing factors. Some simulation results are included for the channel of incoherent reception of an orthogonal signal with a different structure under the conditions of Gauss noise, Rayleigh and Ray fandings
