dc.description.abstractThe article discusses the basic ideas of volunteering; it analyzes the data of psychological studies on social activity and it highlights the importance of studying the motivational part of volunteering. The conclusion on structure and content of volunteering is made. Key focus is on the fact that volunteering is of particular importance in the social sphere and is considered as an activity aimed at positive social change through charity, peacekeeping and humanitarian support to members of society. Lots of definitions are characterized as volunteering activities.
