Abstract: The paper examines the role of the written form of communication from the point of view of increasing the level of communicative activity of the organization and formation of its competitive advantages. The peculiarity of Russian companies is quite poor use of written communication in order to ensure strategic external integration with the organizational environment. The author proposes the communication model of the environment, which allows converting the codes into effective communication patterns of communicative behavior of the organization. It is shown that management of external communications drawn on the basis of this model ensures the achievement of organizational maturity due to the increase of communicative activity
