Abstract: The article presents the findings of the study of the Georgievskoe deposit of geothermal waters. The methodology for estimating the energy potential of a water-bearing horizon (an aquifer) is demonstrated. The interrelation between the amount of energy extracted, the rate of thermal water intake and the lowering of the level in the aquifer is considered. General questions of constructing control systems for hydrolytospheric processes are considered
