Abstract: The article presents the results of a study on the introduction of mass open online courses into educational programs of the Belgorod State National Research University. Open education technologies make it possible to implement the principle of constructing an educational process at a higher educational institution with a student focus on its features and requests for education. The integration of online courses into the university’s educational programs was based solely on an e-learning model using an online course. The task of integrating online courses in the educational process, which was solved in our study, was to expand the possibilities of full-time study, optimize labor costs for the implementation of educational programs, and ensure the “digital” interaction of participants in the educational process. Phased mastering of the subject gave students the opportunity to understand the material better before moving on to topics that are more complex. Assignments for mutual testing allowed students to evaluate assignments of “fellow students” because of which material was repeated, which also had a beneficial effect on the learning outcome. The results of the study allowed to determine the degree of adaptation of students to the new format of the educational process, student satisfaction with the organization of learning using the MOOC, to analyze the quality of student learning.
