| Abstract: | (2E,4E)-2-Cyano-5-phenylpenta-2,4-dieneselenoamide reacted with α-bromo ketones in DMF under argon to give (2E,4E)-2-(4-aryl-1,3-selenazol-2-yl)-5-phenylpenta-2,4-dienenitriles in 42–71% yields. |
