| Abstract: | Objective of the study is to determine the state and prospects for the development of valeological education in the field of recreational physical education for students of the humanities. Methods and structure of the study. As part of the scientific research, a sample consisting of 390 first and second year students from the Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don) and the North Caucasus Federal University (Stavropol) was studied. The methodological basis of the research included: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological materials, conducting surveys (interviews and questionnaires), pedagogical observation, as well as the use of mathematical statistics methods. Results and conclusions. The analysis of modern pedagogical literature reveals a significant gap in the valeological training of students of humanities in higher educational institutions. As part of our research, we study students' attitudes towards recreational physical education as a way to realize the biological need for physical activity. The results indicate the marginalization of physical culture and recreation activities in the educational system at the existential, anthropological, symbolic and institutional levels. The low motivation of students to engage in physical education and wellness is confirmed by the data presented in the works of V.I. Bondin, V.N. Irkhin, A.P. Peresypkin, E.S. Sadovnikov, A.E. Ponomarev and other researchers. A promising area of further research is the development of a theoretical and methodological framework and practical recommendations for the formation of a positive attitude to physical education and wellness activities based on modern scientific achievements in the field of studying the mechanisms of health. |
