Abstract: The purpose of this study is a spatial analysis of the population dynamics in the Stavropol Krai in the intercensal period from 2010 to 2021. As part of the study, geomonitoring technologies in particular models and maps of attraction centers of population resettlement, population interpolation, three-dimensional images of the population, population dynamics, migration and demographic processes were implemented. Population dynamics analysis of the Stavropol Krai has shown that in urban areas the most favorable situation has developed in the administrative center of the city of Stavropol and its satellite town Mikhailovsk, in the large cities of the CMW - Yessentuki and Pyatigorsk. In the district centers of Novoaleksandrovsk, Ipatovo and Stepnoe, at this stage, the population has stabilized and there has been a slight increase. The rest of the big cities and the district centers are reducing their numbers. Spatial analysis of the population dynamics of the rural areas of Stavropol revealed the polarization of the territory, where the most favorable situation is in the settlements of the suburbs of Stavropol, located within an hour's transport accessibility from the regional center (Izobilnensky, Shpakovsky, Grachyovsky Districts). A favorable situation in rural areas is noted in the suburbs of the cities of Caucasian Mineral Waters (Predgorny District). In the rest of the region, a zone of stable depopulation has formed in rural settlements, regardless of their population size. It should be noted that even within the depopulation zone, rural settlements with a more stable population are distinguished, most often growth here is ensured by high polyethnicity, in particular, by ethnic groups that maintain a higher birth rate.
