Краткий осмотр (реферат): In the context of increasing depopulation processes in Russian regions, migration growth is of key importance. Small and medium-sized cities are losing population due to migration, while most large cities and urban agglomerations are becoming the main centers of attraction for migrants, with increasing competition for human resources. Thus, migration becomes a factor in the imbalance of the settlement system and the uneven spatial development of the country. The proposed Atlas Migration Processes in Cities allows accumulating various sources of information at different spatial levels from country to local, which increases the effectiveness of migration research. In this paper, conceptual approaches to creating an atlas are outlined, the structure and content of databases are developed, examples of cartographic visualization and descriptive analysis of individual migration plots are given. The atlas is based on geoinformation monitoring, which provides not only focus on current events, but also build predictive models. The Atlas is based on the principles of openness and accessibility of research results, ensuring the integration of the system into the Internet environment. The Atlas consists of four sections: country, regional, settlement, predictive and analytical. Each section contains relevant information about the nature of migration processes, including in cities of various types, taking into account their position in the settlement system. Thanks to the systematized spatial display of data, the Atlas significantly facilitates the identification of key trends and factors affecting population movements. The use of the Atlas enables authorities at various levels to obtain reliable and up-to-date information, promptly evaluate it in order to make managerial decisions in the field of migration policy, identify problem areas and propose adequate proposals for regulating migration processes and developing regional development strategies.
