Abstract: The synthesis of vanadium dioxide nanoparticles was achieved through the hydrolysis of vanadyl acetylacetonate, which was obtained from vanadyl sulfate. The thermochemical transformations that occurred during the heating of a colloidal solution of vanadium (IV) oxide in a graphite furnace were investigated using X-ray diffraction analysis and transmission electron microscopy. To determine the size of the nanoparticles, a series of vanadium (IV) oxide nanoparticle solutions were analyzed using the method of electrothermal atomic absorption spectroscopy.
