Synthesis and Structure of Palladium(II) Complex with (2E)-2-[1-(4-Aminophenyl)ethylidene]hydrazine-1-carbothioamide

Abstract

This work presents the synthesis and structural characterization of a previously unknown palladium(II) complex with (2E)-2-[1-(4-aminophenyl)ethylidene]hydrazine-1-carbothioamide, which in the solid state forms a highly symmetric tetrametallic metallamacrocycle. The structure of the synthesized (2E)-2-[1-(4-aminophenyl)ethylidene]hydrazine-1-carbothioamide and corresponding palladium(II) complex was established by 1H, 13C–{1H}, 1H–13C HMQC, and 1H–13C HMBC NMR spectroscopy; IR and UV spectroscopy; mass spectrometry; TGA/DSC analyses; and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
