Abstract: An assessment of the effect of chronic exposure to gaseous ammonia in the maximum permissible concentration for the air of the working area on the reproductive system of male rats is given. An increase in the function of the adrenal glands in animals was revealed in all morphological zones. Changes in the hormonal status were recorded in the form of an increase in the blood level of estradiol and a decrease in testosterone and follitropin. The leading pathological changes in the testes were hypotrophy and partial desquamation of the spermatogenic epithelium, detachment of spermatogonia from the basement membrane, and vacuolar dystrophy of interstitial endocrinocytes
