Industrial systems management in the context of digital transformation

Abstract

The process of building and forming digital space is of particular importance for the formation of ‘‘smart production.’’ In this context, it is necessary to study the digitization of auxiliary processes in the enterprise that are not directly related to the production process, which together form the production infrastructure of the organization. Design/methodology/approach: Industrial companies are being mobilized in the digital age, facing challenges that range from how to manage and finance transformation to where to apply digital technology to achieve the greatest impact in the short term. Findings: The success of the ‘‘Industry 4.0’’ concept in an industrial enterprise depends largely on the choice of a strategic partner who should have professional competencies in the field of implementing information systems at all five stages, and be an expert in the organization of production and industrial technologies. As a result, there is the development and implementation of conceptually new methods and mechanisms for organizing internal processes in an organization based on digital technologies and automated systems. Originality/value: During the research, the concept of ‘‘smart production’’ was formed for industrial enterprises as the basis for the transition to the new industrial era - Industry 4.0.
