Addictive Behavior of Adolescents in the Context of the Modern Socio-economic Crisis

Abstract

The beginning of 2020 turned out to be oversaturated with a series of socio-economic, ecological-biological, geopolitical upheavals that affected the whole world, all states, every family, and every of us. Design/methodology/approach: Globalization, integration, industrial cooperation, migration, scientific, and technological progress have become factors that have brought not only positive results, but also negative ones. The formation of a person’s personality is realized in the continuum of the family, society, and the state in which he lives. Findings: The factors influencing the versatile development of personality are currently unstable and contradictory, as it is indicated by the data of our study in the targeted study of species deviations in youth and adolescents. The reliability of this is the increase in the number of juvenile delinquency and crimes, addictions among the youth. It is also alarming that there are more and more forms of deviant behavior among adolescents every year. Originality/value: In connection with the urgent problems of the spread of adolescent deviations, within the framework of this scientific article, it seems necessary to conduct a study of addictive behavior as a type of adolescent deviant behavior. This scientific problem is of particular importance in the current period, when in the context of a pandemic, the mental health of adolescents is exposed to a particular threat and the possibility of the formation of various types of addictive behavior, drift toward the borderline abnormal personality. So, it is necessary to investigate the modern types of non-chemical addictions among adolescents for this; identify the causes and factors that contribute to their formation and development.
