Abstract: The author claims that the interest to international criminal law has considerably risen in Russia. A number of monographic studies, textbooks, manuals, specialized periodicals dedicated to the study of international criminal law have been published just in the last 10-15 years. The paper describes the advantages and drawbacks of teaching the course of «International Criminal Law» in Russia. The situation in most universities is as following: this course is part of bachelor’s syllabus for international law majors, and part of master’s syllabus for «criminal» specialties. Besides, some international criminal law textbooks have factual mistakes and their material is sometimes distorted
