International criminal law: theoretical-methodological and practical teaching basis

Abstract

The author claims that the interest to international criminal law has considerably risen in Russia. A number of monographic studies, textbooks, manuals, specialized periodicals dedicated to the study of international criminal law have been published just in the last 10-15 years. The paper describes the advantages and drawbacks of teaching the course of «International Criminal Law» in Russia. The situation in most universities is as following: this course is part of bachelor’s syllabus for international law majors, and part of master’s syllabus for «criminal» specialties.
