Biopharmaceutical, rheological, and pharmacological studies of rectal dosage form of Mexidol

Abstract

We have carried our biopharmaceutical, rheological researches for the choice of an optimal composition of suppositories with Mexidol. Using light-dark box and radial arm maze tests we have discovered the increase of exploratory activity and decrease of anxiety level and anxiogenic defecation of animals, which were injected with the suppositories under study, as well as positive influence of the drug in suppository form for short-term referent memory of rats. We have revealed a signified antihypoxant activity of the developed dosage form
