Abstract: Corrosion is one of the most important factors limiting the lifetime of construction exposed to difficult environmental conditions and it has got a large impact on their operational costs. These phenomena has non-deterministic nature and with a description of strength characteristics of soil around a construction as random field presented like random layers is defining the complex reliability problem. In the study we were used Gaussian one-dimensional random fields generator with folded functions describing the effect of fluctuations scales. Procedures were written in Mathematica programming language for calculate both parameters of material zones, generating random fields and describe corrosion. A numerical example will be provided to illustrate the proposed method with a view to prevent unexpected failures of the structure during its service life. The proposed methodology can help the design and management of existing piled construction in making correct decisions concerning the intervention to ensure the safe and serviceable operation of the concrete piles
