Linguistic and didactic bases of descriptive geometry textbook development for international students studied in Russian universities

Abstract

The main linguistic and didactic bases of Descriptive geometry textbook development for international students are presented. The bases are established according to the main principles of theory of textbook and specifics of engineering programmes in Oil and Gas Engineering and Civil Engineering, which are running at North Caucasus Federal University for international student. The structure of textbook and its contents are developed and described. There are six main themes are presented in the textbook - Principle Consideration, Point projections, Line projections, Respective position of lines in space, Plane projections, Respective position of planes, and line with plane, Methods of drawing transition, Polyhedrons definition on drawing and their types, Intersection of polyhedrons, Development of Polyhedrons. The tasks for self study of the students are described and the results of developed textbook implementing are presented. It was established that developed textbook implementing improved the quality of training and performance level of the international and Russian student used the developed textbook for studying the Descriptive Geometry course
